Provide a chamfer on the shaft end.
(This prevents failure during mounting.)- Oil seals are used in a wide range of machinery and equipment, including engines, gearboxes, pumps, and hydraulic systems. They can be found in cars, trucks, industrial machinery, and even household appliances. Without oil seals, these machines would not be able to operate efficiently or effectively, leading to costly repairs and downtime.

6. AMOUNT OF LUBRICANT: Seals perform better when lubricated but some machines will go through some dry spells. When this occurs using a leather or PTFE seal will be more beneficial as those type of seals can operate with less lubrication.
The sizes of industrial oil seals typically range from 0–33cm. These varieties are designed for temperature fluctuations. If your seal matches the intended equipment, the machine will perform optimally.
Oil seals come in various shapes to fit the machine or substance for sealing.
For this reason, when designing a machine, it is important to select the oil seal that is right for that machine.
Next time, we will explain the key points to consider when selecting your oil seal.
